Who we are

Based out of Fairfax – VA, the Our Cause Education and Scholarship Foundation (OCESF) was founded In 2010 to provide voluntary financial support for college and university scholarships, and for the various educational and charitable programs we conduct, all aimed at improving the quality of life of underserved sections of society. These programs vary in scope and in scale – from local to regional and even nationwide. We are a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that supports regional communities through tax-deductible contributions. Our funding supports programs in education, training, and development, as well as the charitable initiatives of Theta Tau Sigma’s Northern Virginia Alumni chapter of the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc. These programs have had a significantly positive impact on the many that benefit from them.

Our Vision

Our goal is to encourage others to make an investment in the northern Virginia metro area and support our vision of offering others an opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive in the community-at-large. The Our Cause Education and Scholarship Foundation is committed to improving the nation’s well-being by ensuring equitable access to outstanding educational opportunities. Various philanthropies and numerous local community outreach programs receive support through the work of our foundation.

Our mission

The mission of Our Cause Education and Scholarship Foundation is to strengthen communities in the northern Virginia metro area by partnering with community leaders, residents, and businesses to improve educational opportunities for those in need. The Our Cause Education and Scholarship Foundation is an effective advocate for addressing social and economic issues in the African American community. Additionally, we provide resources, tools, and professional development to support the educational and charitable initiatives of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. and the Theta Tau Sigma Alumni chapter in northern Virginia.
